Faculty Presidential Award for Excellence

The Portales Presidential Awards for Excellence are given to ENMU full-time faculty nominated by their students and peers for emanating the true spirit of Eastern New Mexico University. (Winners are honored at the spring commencement in May and are presented with a plaque and a check.)
Each year, nominations are submitted by students, faculty and staff which are then reviewed by the Academic Affairs Staff.  Finalists are chosen and notified allowing them the opportunity to provide additional supporting information prior to the final selection. All nominations must be received by March 5, 2009.

If you know a full-time faculty member who has or is completing five years at Eastern that you feel exemplifies the true spirit of Eastern, nominate them today! You can fill out the form online, or pick up a form at the information desk in the Administration Building. There are seperate online forms for faculty, students and staff.

The four areas in which a faculty may be nominated are:

• Advising
• Research/Scholarly/Creative Activity
• Service
• Teaching

Nominations may be made by faculty, students or university employees by following the guidelines listed below.
Nominations for full-time faculty who are in or have completed five years at Eastern will be accepted by the following constituents in the designated areas:

• Faculty may nominate their peers for: all areas
• Students may nominate faculty for: Advising, Service, and Teaching
• University employees (professional and support staff) may nominate faculty for: Advising and Service
