Associated Students Activities Board (ASAB)
ENMU's Associated Students Activities Board (ASAB) is a student programming board that plans and implements recreational, educational, cultural, social and entertaining events for the ENMU campus and surrounding communities.
ASAB has many areas of involvement for students who are interested in joining. Involvement in ASAB is a great way to gain experience in a variety of different fields.
Social Issues
The Social Issues Committee is responsible for informative as well as outreach programs such as:
- Community action days
- Diversity programs
- Distinguished speakers
Special Events
The Special Events Committee programs events and activities for students and surrounding community to be able to relax and have a good time, such as:
- Peanut Valley Festival
- Homecoming activities
- Spring Fling
- Novelties
- Free movies
Marketing
For students looking for a future in marketing, ASAB is the place to be. In ASAB, students can develop their skills in such areas as:
- Marketing strategies
- Public relations
- Graphic design
- Advertising
- Web design
Campus Comedy
Everyone needs to laugh a little, and that is what Campus Comedy helps students do. Campus Comedy is in charge of bring comedians and hosting talent exhibitions for the students.
Entertainment
From live music to magicians, the entertainment committee prides itself on the quality of performers it brings to campus. The Entertainment Committe is responsible for programming events such as:
- Major concerts
- Music Madness
- Hypnotists
- Extraordinist
- Magicians
- Acrobats
Membership
ASAB offers numerous involvement opportunities for ENMU students. Through involvement in ASAB, students develop leadership and team building skills, attend social events and have lots of fun. ASAB meets every Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the Campus Union. If you are interested in joining ASAB, please fill out the ASAB application form and return it to our office in Campus Union, Room 104.
