University Police

The ENMU police department provides law enforcement, criminal investigation and emergency response to members of the University community. Our law enforcement duties include crime prevention and public education programs. Some of our education programs include:

• Personal Self Defense
• Rape Awareness and Prevention
• Operational Identification
• Alcohol and Drug Awareness
• Traffic Safety Issues
• Violence in the Workplace
• Crime Reduction and Prevention
• Technology and Policing

All of our officers are certified through the New Mexico Department of Public Safety. They regularly attend advanced training and are evaluated to stay up to date on law enforcement.

The police department also hires student security aides who are trained to observe and report suspicious activity. These students patrol the main campus every night.
