Advising Center

At the Advising Center, you will work with faculty and advisors one-on-one to identify your academic strengths and weaknesses, define your major and career goals, and to learn the skills you need to plan your future.

Academic and career advising is an important part of your student life at Eastern New Mexico University. The University's Advising Center, located in Student Academic Services, Room232, helps freshman and sophomore students who have not filed degree plans to create schedules for each semester.

Career planning assistance is available at Counseling and Career Services, Student Academic Services, Room 214, or by calling 575.562.2211.

I'm a new student and I'm cleared for admission but have not registered. What do I do now?

Call the Advising Center to set up an appointment. You can call toll free at 888.ENMU.ADV or locally at 562.2338. Advising appointments are available Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and special appointment times can be arranged.

During your advising appointment, your advisor will help you register for your classes and will send you to other offices to discuss your financial aid and scholarship opportunities. You will also make arrangements with housing, student accounts and get your student ID. Bring your final official high school transcript, any college transcripts and any information about Advanced Placement (AP) or other pre-college credit to your appointment.
